For Da Cousins originally started as a film critique podcast. We wanted to use the art of critique to uplift and highlight the kinds of stories we wanted to see more of in the world.

It’s one thing to make the thing. It’s another for that thing to enter a room where it isn’t properly represented. If nobody in that room understands it, champions it, or fights for it, it dies.

And that’s how a lot of really great stories never make it.

So we wanted to diversify the critique space with our voices. Voices specifically from an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

As we grew, we realized there was so much more ground we wanted to cover. So… we became a production house. We’re becoming the thing we want to see more of in the world. We’re making space for others to become their favorite thing, too.

Da Cousins is built on a village mindset because we’re not interested in just getting another seat at the table.

We’re building a whole new house.
